Couch Cleaning Long Island City: Tower Ready
Glass towers, a loading dock to book and a front desk that wants paperwork first. We send the certificate ahead, work in the unit, and we are one bridge away.
Professional Sofa Cleaning in Long Island City
The towers around Court Square and Hunters Point South are full of sectionals bought for a bigger room than the one they ended up in. Pushed against glass on two sides, used as sofa, desk chair and dining seat.
A piece doing three jobs collects three kinds of soil, and body oil in the headrest is the one people never see coming. The professional sofa cleaning sequence starts with the care code under the cushion.
Upholstery Cleaning in Long Island City
In a studio or a one bedroom the desk chair is upholstered, the bed has a fabric headboard, and both take more daily contact than anything else in the apartment.
Headboards take hair product every night and need pretreatment rather than extraction alone. Our upholstery service by fabric code sets out the method per fabric.
Mattress Cleaning in Long Island City
New construction is sealed tight, which keeps the cold out and the moisture in. A bedroom with no cross breeze holds humidity through the summer and the mattress absorbs it.
Added to a sofa visit it costs a fraction of a separate booking. See what mattress cleaning involves.
Move Out and Turnover Cleaning
LIC turns over faster than almost anywhere in the city, so half the calls here are about a lease ending rather than a stain. Upholstery cleaned before a walkthrough, or a secondhand sofa cleaned before it goes into a new apartment.
Secondhand pieces are worth doing before they come through the door. See whole apartment furniture cleaning.
Couch Cleaning Long Island City: What It Costs
The rate matches the rest of Queens and the rest of the city. A new tower with a concierge is priced the same as a walk up in Astoria.
Nothing is added for the loading dock booking, the freight elevator or the certificate of insurance, all three of which most buildings here will ask for. They take our time, not your money.
Starting prices
Same prices citywide. The certificate of insurance and the dock booking are both free.
Get Exact PricingWhat a Tower Building Job Involves
Couch cleaning Long Island City appointments have an administrative half before the cleaning half. The managing agent wants a certificate of insurance naming the building, the front desk wants us on a list, and the freight elevator and loading dock are booked by the hour rather than available on arrival.
None of it costs anything. What it costs is lead time, so book a day or two ahead rather than the morning of, and send the building name and the managing agent exactly as they write them. Spelling matters more than it should, because a certificate naming the wrong entity gets refused at the desk.
West facing glass is the other LIC particular. Floor to ceiling windows looking at Manhattan means strong afternoon sun on whatever faces them, and over a few years that fades dye on the arm and back nearest the window. Cleaning lifts the soil. It does not bring the colour back.
The upside is speed. We dispatch from East 116th Street and LIC is one short run across the bridge, which makes it one of the easier parts of the city for us to reach on short notice.
Does my building need a certificate of insurance before you come?
In a Long Island City tower, almost always. Give us the building name and the managing agent exactly as they appear on your lease and we issue a certificate naming them, free, before the appointment. Two or three days of notice is usually enough for the managing agent to approve it.
We cover western Queens and across the bridge. Start at the Queens service area, or go straight to a neighbour:
Questions From Long Island City Customers
Do you need a loading dock booking in LIC buildings?
Most towers here require one, along with a freight elevator slot. Both are arranged through your front desk or managing agent and neither costs you anything. Tell us the building when you book and we will work to whatever window it gives us.
How much notice does the certificate of insurance take?
Two or three days is comfortable. We issue it free and immediately, but the managing agent has to approve it on their side, and that is the part with the lead time. Same day bookings are possible in buildings that have already cleared us.
My sectional barely fits the room. Can you still clean it?
Yes. Nothing has to come out of the apartment and nothing needs a clear perimeter. We work the accessible faces, pull the piece out from the glass where we need the back, and put it where it was. Tell us if it is a modular so we know how it separates.
Can you clean a secondhand sofa before it goes into my apartment?
Yes, and before is much better than after. Cleaning removes soil and odour, but it does not deal with bed bugs, and upholstered furniture picked up off the street is the usual way those arrive. Check the seams and the underside of the frame before you take it.
Is Long Island City quick for you to reach?
One of the quickest. We load on East 116th Street, so LIC is a short run over the bridge, and midweek short notice is often possible. The limit here is building access rather than our travel.
