Couch Cleaning Queens: Every Kind of Building

Queens has the widest range of housing we work in, from Astoria walk-ups to Long Island City towers to two family houses with a full set of stairs. Apartments here run bigger than Manhattan, so most visits are several pieces rather than one sofa.

Why Queens Jobs Run Bigger

More rooms, more pieces, one visit

A one bedroom in Sunnyside or Rego Park runs half again the size of its Manhattan equivalent at the same rent, and the furniture fills it. Manhattan calls about a loveseat. Queens calls about a sofa, two chairs and a rug, or a whole two bedroom before family arrive. Whole apartment pricing wins here almost every time.

The buildings do not agree with each other either. Astoria and Jackson Heights, dense pre-war walk ups with narrow shared stairs. Long Island City, glass towers with a concierge and a COI at the desk. Forest Hills, Tudor co-ops with a board. Flushing and Bayside, two family houses and work across two floors.

Parking decides more here than anywhere else. Outside the tower districts Queens is permit free street parking, so equipment comes off the van straight into the building instead of through a service entrance. Big multi piece jobs run faster here than the identical work does in Manhattan.

Rockaway is its own case. Salt air and sand work into upholstery in a way they do not anywhere else in the borough, and beach houses see it year round rather than just in summer.

Whole apartment pricing

Booking three or more pieces in one visit costs meaningfully less per piece than three separate appointments, because most of the time on any job is setup and breakdown rather than cleaning. Tell us everything that needs doing and we quote the visit.

Two family houses and stairs

Working across two floors means either moving equipment mid job or running longer hose. Either is fine, but it changes the time estimate, so mention it when you book rather than on the day.

Starting prices

Standard 3-seat sofa $120 to $180
Sectional, L shape $180 to $280
Whole apartment, 3+ pieces Quoted per visit
Stair carpet, per flight $80 to $130

Same prices across the borough. Multi piece visits are quoted together rather than added up piece by piece.

How We Work Here

We ask what the building is before we quote the time

Walk-ups in Astoria and Jackson Heights

Narrow shared stairwells mean the compact setup, so we are not blocking a landing other tenants need.

Towers in Long Island City

Concierge buildings need a COI and a booked freight elevator. Send the building name and we handle it.

Co-op boards in Forest Hills

Tudor co-ops often want insurance paperwork approved before the date. Start it early and it does not hold you up.

Two family houses

We plan for working across floors rather than discovering the stairs on arrival.

Multi piece visits

Sofa, chairs, mattress and a rug in one appointment is the normal Queens job, and the cheapest way to do it.

Neighborhoods

Where we work in Queens

Couch cleaning Queens appointments in the western neighborhoods are the quickest to schedule because they are closest to our East Harlem base. Astoria, Long Island City and Sunnyside are often same week, sometimes same day.

Further east into Flushing, Bayside and Rego Park the jobs tend to be larger, so we usually book a longer window rather than trying to fit them between two other visits. Past the county line we also take couch cleaning on Long Island, on multi-piece visits only.

Sofas and Sectionals

Professional Sofa Cleaning in Queens

The widest housing mix of any borough, and the sofas follow it. A Forest Hills house holds a sectional with a chaise. An Astoria studio holds a loveseat that doubles as a bed. Different jobs, different hours, which is why we ask what the room looks like before quoting.

The method itself is the same in both, and it starts with the care code. Full detail on sectional and couch cleaning.

Chairs and Headboards

Upholstery Cleaning in Queens

Dining sets work harder in Queens than anywhere else, because more households here eat at the table every night and more of them seat three generations around it. An upholstered dining chair takes food, drink and daily wear an accent chair never sees.

Seat pads usually need pretreatment before extraction rather than extraction alone. See the cleaning chairs and headboards page for what each fabric type allows.

Whole Rooms

Furniture Cleaning in Queens

Whole apartment bookings are more common here than anywhere we work. Tenants leaving Sunnyside, Woodside and Jackson Heights want it all done before the walkthrough. Homeowners further east want the living room and dining room together before a holiday.

One visit covering six pieces costs less than three visits covering two. room by room furniture cleaning is quoted on the appointment, not the item.

Beds

Mattress Cleaning in Queens

More bedrooms per household than anywhere else in the city, so mattress work here is three or four beds rather than one. Multi generational homes add the other reason: dust mite allergen builds fastest in a room occupied every night of the year.

Twin through king, box spring as an add on, with drying time built into the appointment. The deep mattress cleaning page covers what the process removes.

Questions

Questions from Queens customers

Is it cheaper to book everything in one visit?

Yes, noticeably. Most of the time on any job is setup and breakdown, so three pieces in one appointment costs less than three separate visits. Tell us the full list when you call and we quote the visit rather than the pieces.

Do Long Island City buildings need a certificate of insurance?

Most Long Island City and Astoria towers do. Give us the building name and the managing agent exactly as they write them, and the certificate goes over at no charge before the visit.

Can you work in a two family house across two floors?

Yes. It changes the timing rather than the price, because equipment either moves mid job or we run longer hose. Mention the layout when booking.

Do you charge extra to come to eastern Queens?

No. There is no travel surcharge anywhere in the borough. Jobs further east are usually booked as a longer window because they tend to be bigger.

My apartment is above a restaurant and the sofa smells of cooking.

That is a common Queens job. Cooking oil settles into fabric as a film rather than a stain, so it needs extraction with a degreasing pre treatment rather than a surface clean.

How quickly can you reach western Queens?

Astoria, Long Island City and Sunnyside are often same week and sometimes same day, because they are about fifteen minutes from our East Harlem base over the Queensboro Bridge. Flushing, Bayside and Rego Park are usually next day, since those jobs tend to run longer.
