Areas We Serve Across New York City

All five boroughs, no travel surcharge. What changes from one neighborhood to the next is not the price, it is the building: whether there is an elevator, whether the board wants a certificate of insurance, and how much of the day that takes.

Five boroughs, five different kinds of job

We are based on East 116th Street in East Harlem and cover the whole city from there. Every page we have is listed on the site index.

Pre-war co-ops and doorman buildings

Manhattan

Most Manhattan jobs run through building management before they run through your door. Co-op boards commonly ask for a certificate of insurance naming the building, and service elevator access is booked in windows rather than whenever we arrive. We handle both, and we schedule around the elevator rather than around us.

Brownstone walk-ups and new-build rentals

Brooklyn

Brooklyn splits into two jobs. Brownstone floor-throughs mean carrying equipment up two or three flights, which changes how long a sectional takes. Newer buildings along the waterfront are elevator access but often have loading dock rules. Either way there is no travel surcharge across the borough.

Co-ops, two-family homes and high-rises

Queens

Queens has the widest mix of housing we work in, from Astoria walk-ups to Long Island City towers to two-family houses with a full set of stairs. Larger apartments mean more multi-piece jobs, so whole-apartment pricing usually works out better than booking pieces one at a time.

Larger apartments and multi-piece jobs

The Bronx

Apartments in the Bronx tend to be bigger than their Manhattan equivalents, which means sectionals rather than loveseats and more pieces per visit. Elevator buildings in Riverdale follow the same COI routine as Manhattan co-ops.

Houses rather than apartments

Staten Island

Staten Island is mostly houses, so the work looks different: carpeted stairs, more square footage of wall to wall, and whole-home jobs rather than a single sofa. Driveway parking makes setup faster than anywhere else in the city.

Houses, driveways and whole home visits

Long Island

Nassau County and the western edge of Suffolk. Out here the job is a house rather than an apartment: a family room sectional, carpeted stairs and several mattresses, all handled in one visit with the van in your own driveway.

What We Clean

Every service is available in every borough

Sofa and couch cleaning

Loveseats through large sectionals, fabric code checked before any method is chosen.

Upholstery cleaning

Chairs, ottomans, benches, headboards and window seat cushions.

Mattress cleaning

Dust mite and allergen removal, twin through king, box spring as an add-on.

Carpet and area rugs

Wall to wall, runners, stairs and area rugs, with fiber type checked first.

Pet urine and odor removal

Enzyme treatment at the cushion core, not fragrance on the surface.

Leather sofa cleaning

Cleaned and conditioned by hand, because leather is not extracted like fabric.

Steam cleaning

Hot water extraction with the drying done properly.

Questions

Questions about where we work

The answers that decide whether a booking is straightforward or awkward, and the ones people ask on the phone before anything else.

Do you charge extra for the outer boroughs or walk-up buildings?

No to either. One rate card covers all five boroughs, so a loveseat in Tottenville is quoted the same as one on Park Avenue, and stairs are never billed as an extra. The floor number matters only because it decides which equipment we load into the van.

Do you work in pre war co-op and brownstone buildings?

Most of our work is in them. Pre war buildings mean steam heat drying the fabric all winter, narrow stairwell turns a three seat sofa barely clears, and boards that want a certificate of insurance before a vendor comes in. We issue that certificate free, usually the same day.

Which neighbourhoods can you reach the same day?

The ones closest to our East Harlem base, which in practice means upper Manhattan, the western Queens neighbourhoods over the Queensboro Bridge, and the South Bronx. Everywhere else is usually next day. Call rather than use the form if the date matters, and we will tell you straight away.

Do you clean outside New York City?

Long Island only, and on multi piece visits rather than a single chair, because the travel does not make sense otherwise. Nassau and western Suffolk are covered on the Long Island page. We do not currently work in New Jersey or Westchester.

Not sure if we reach you? Call and ask

If you are inside the five boroughs, we get there. Tell us the cross streets and the building type and we will give you a time window.
