Couch Cleaning Tribeca: Lofts and Freight Elevators
Cast iron loft conversions, freight elevators booked through the super, and sectionals bought to fill a room the size of an apartment. We work inside those rules and clean everything in place.
Professional Sofa Cleaning in Tribeca
A Tribeca loft is one large open room where an ordinary three seat sofa would look lost, so the furniture is scaled up to match: deep sectionals, oversized chaises, sometimes two seating groups in the same space. Several of them were delivered in sections through a freight elevator and bolted together on site.
That suits us, because nothing needs to move. We work section by section around the piece where it stands. The sectional and couch cleaning sequence is the same, only the piece is bigger.
Carpet and Rug Cleaning in Tribeca
Lofts here are floored in wide plank timber or polished concrete, and the rug is doing the work of walls: defining the seating area, absorbing sound in a room with no soft surfaces. They tend to be large, expensive and frequently wool or silk blend.
Those are cleaned in place on a barrier, with fiber and dye stability tested at an edge before anything reaches the field. More on wool safe carpet cleaning.
Upholstery Cleaning in Tribeca
Designer upholstery turns up here more than anywhere else we work: mohair, heavy boucle, and pale fabrics chosen to sit against dark floors. A good share carry an S code, which means solvent only, and water leaves a permanent ring on them.
Every piece gets its tag read before anything is applied, and untagged pieces get a hidden seam tested. The cleaning chairs and headboards page sets out what each code allows.
Furniture Cleaning in Tribeca
Two things drive whole loft bookings here. One is a sale or a rental listing, where the photographer is booked for a set date. The other is an event, because these spaces get used for them, and what follows is a room full of marks that were not there the day before.
Either way the deadline is fixed, so we schedule around the freight elevator rather than the other way round. room by room furniture cleaning is quoted on the visit.
What Couch Cleaning Tribeca Costs
Tribeca prices are the same as the rest of Manhattan. Size and fabric move the number, not the postcode. A six seat sectional in a loft is quoted on its sections, and we count them with you before starting.
Certificates of insurance are free. Send the building name, address and managing agent exactly as your building writes them and we issue one, usually the same day.
Starting prices
Same prices across Manhattan. Sectionals are quoted on section count, agreed with you before we start.

Couch cleaning Tribeca appointments are set by the building, not by us. Most loft conversions run a single freight elevator that has to be booked through the super, often only on weekdays and often in a two hour window. Nothing goes up in the passenger cab, and the front desk will not let equipment past without a certificate of insurance already on file.
The streets add their own problem. Franklin, Harrison and the blocks around Staple Street are cobbled and narrow, with almost no legal standing space for a vehicle. We plan the unload around that, which is why we ask for the cross street when you book rather than on the day.
Give us the building requirement sheet and the elevator window together and the visit gets scheduled once instead of twice.
What your super will ask for
The certificate of insurance naming the building and the managing agent, the elevator booking, and a window. Send us the first and we handle the wording; you or the managing agent books the second.
The rest of the island is covered the same way. The Manhattan service area lists it all, or start with one of these:
Questions From Tribeca Customers
Can you work inside our freight elevator window?
Yes, and we plan the visit around it. Tell us the window when you book and we allow for setup, cleaning and breakdown inside it. Two hours is enough for a sectional and a rug in most lofts.
Can a large rug be cleaned without taking it out of the loft?
Yes. Rugs are cleaned in place on a protective barrier so the floor underneath stays dry, with the fiber tested at an edge first. Wool and silk blends need a low moisture method and controlled drying, which we bring air movers for.
Our building needs the certificate made out to two entities. Is that a problem?
No. Send both names exactly as the managing agent writes them and we issue the certificate naming both. Getting the wording wrong is the usual reason a vendor is turned away at the desk, so we copy it exactly.
Can you clean pale designer upholstery without leaving tide marks?
Yes, and it is the thing worth asking about in a loft. Mohair, boucle and pale linen show every edge, so we clean the whole panel rather than the spot and force drying with airflow. Many of these fabrics are S coded, which means solvent only and no water at all.
